In this case the "~" refers to the startup drive's global "Library/Preferences" folder which on my multi-user and the OPs systems does not contain a "" file as depicted below: ![]() No, this is the global "Preferences" folder whose PLIST files apply to all user accounts on the system. That looks like ~/Library/Preferences to me?
